Star Trek: Confusion
… wish there was a little more Battlestar in there. Also, while we’re talking Star Trek parody videos don’t forget about Red Shirt.
This is a Hold-up

New Technology On The Bandage Front
Bandages. There’s something I never thought would make an article on Nerdology. CNN reports that new electric bandages are coming. A study from 2005 reported that “Our cells work like tiny chemical batteries. Wounds short-circuit them, and a jolt of voltage helps heal them.” The logical conclusion then is a bandage that provides said jolt.
The technology places microscopic batteries on a membrane, enough to pass 1.2 volts across your skin. The FDA has approved these bandages in hospitals after clinical trials proved significantly shorter healing times for all patients. The best part is that it they even cost less. Healing the old fashioned way costs hospitals about $1,000 per wound. Using the electric bandage (called Prosit) costs hospitals an average of $140 per wound.
It is expected to get FDA approval for over the counter later this year. Sign me up for this stuff. I am a firm believer that everything is better electric. Be it screwdrivers or bandages.
2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: 52 mpg and the darkness before dawn - Los Angeles Times

Just in time for the arrival of mini-me! Our new family car? I sure hope so… need to discuss with me wife :)
How can we do this?
Here are a couple of questions regarding this insane bailout the government is providing:
1. Why the discrepency in funds given out to financial institutions and manufacturers?
*From an outside appearance, it appears that a bank only needs to sneeze and it gets billions upon billions of dollars (and knows that billions more will be sent over again shortly if they say they need it), and a manufacturing company such as the auto makers have to practically beg for even a percentage of the same type of help while facing high scrutiny and have to accept regulations on how to use it and organize their company.
2. It doesn’t seem logical does it?
*The company that employs people that actually make a product gets shit on while the company that is sopposed to trade and lend invisble money gets a free pass. Literally, from my viewpoint, no one who is giving the banks this money is even asking them to re-organize the poor management that drove that specific institution into the ground.
3. What will be the result of the bailout for 99% of America?
*Sadly, all we can do is wait and see what the results will be. The banks are not any more willing to loan money, the auto manufacturers will need more money in about 3 months, and the average person living in the U.S.A has absolutely no say whether they want to give their hard earned money to save these poorly managed, ultra large companies.
*I read somewhere that 90% of new jobs are created by small to medium sized companies (less than 500 employees)… this means that these ultra large companies do not create a large number of jobs, while the guys paying all the money to them in the bailout are busting their ass to keep thier small business alive and are the ones that hire the most people. We need to prioritize what is important and what makes the U.S. keep running.
The bailout should have never happened - we are being robbed!
The government should have assisted those with bad mortgages by buying the bad loans from the banks and working with the people to re-finance the loan. If they can not keep their house with the new loan, then they should face the same consequences as someone who defaults on their mortgage. They chose to enter into a bad loan - let us give them a chance to have a ‘good’ loan and then treat them as everyone else - if you can not afford it, then you can’t buy it (or stay in it), sorry. Now we have given these banks billions upon billions of dollars and I do not think that any of these bad loans are being re-worked and from all indications, the money isn’t being lent - why the free money to the banks? I need some money to pay my bills too - bail me out Washington!
Test
Testing how this will work - do I just type stuff in or what? Is it this easy to post my thoughts? Where will this actually be posted? Why did I post this? Sweet.
